Blair Witch Project Review
The Blair Witch Project was a short, fantastic film that always kept the audience focused and aware of what is happening, whether it was during the day with their group fights and arguments, or their fanatic panic at night caused by the eerie and mysterious sounds that came from outside their cramped, caged tent they would sleep in. Through the Blair Witch Project, there was hardly ever a rest, not just for the characters, but the audience too and because of this, it causes us to empathize with the characters and relate to them in the sense of tiredness, and there was always a feeling of tension at night when the would gain life and in the morning, the concern over the pile of rocks left around the tent for them to discover. This excellent collection of events leading to the final part where they explore the destroyed and abandoned house gives us a cllear idea that something bad is going to happen, which gives us a clear view of what this low budget movie was designed to do which was to scare and to create an uncertain part in the audience's minds on release. This forced the audience to ask "Is this real?" This has been something most horror movies have failed to do which was to make the audience question whether the movie is real and is an actual documentary or not, because of this, I have decided to give the "Blair Witch Project" a rating of 8.5/10.
